Hi, my name is Marika!
I am a proud first nations woman from Warramay/Girramay Nations. I grew up in Townsville – Bindal/Wulgurukaba country and now live in Cairns – Gimuy Walburra Yidinjii country.
My passion within my role as Administration Assistant is seeing First Nations people receive support.
What motivates me to be the best I can be is my children and my First Nation mob. I want to be that positive role model for my children and future generations and show them you can do whatever you put your heart and mind to!
Within my role, I also enjoy utilising my life skills to help our clients by providing the best first point of contact and making them feel comfortable and welcome. I also love the flexibility around my family and, of course, I get to work with a fantastic group of people.
When I’m not at work, I love to engage in self-care, play sports, and stay active, regardless of the activity. I also enjoy spending time with my children, family, and close friends, as I value them tremendously.
